Conditioning Schedule

Hi Ladies,

First and foremost, I'd like to thank those of you who have made an effort to come out and condition, Michelle and I really appreciate your dedication.

Here is the schedule that we will be going by until further notice. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

July 20th-July 24th: 6:30pm-8:00pm

July 27th-August 14th: 9:00am-10:30am

August 17th-August 21st: 9:00am-11:00am
This week, conditioning will be in the gym; we will start to work on your ball handling skills. Make sure you are wearing proper gym attire, and if you need them, bring knee pads. You must have your physical filled out at this time. If you don't have your physical done, you CANNOT participate. NO EXCEPTIONS.

August 24th-September 2nd: Week of tryouts. Time TBA
Start thinking about which team you want to try out for. The tryouts will be split between JV and Varsity; JV the first hour, and Varsity the second. Halfway through the week of tryouts, we will shuffle you around to different teams if need be. More information will be given in the beginning/middle of August.

Reminders

Reminder: TRY-OUTS- Start on August 17, time TBA. A medical form signed by your doctor and parent (3 places) must be turned in BEFORE you can try-out. The sooner you are able to show the coaches your ball handling skills the better.
CONDITIONING: No physical is needed for conditioning and is open to all girls who are interested in building strength and stamina. Though it it not required it is highly valuable to all who participate. Remember-no heavy meals beforehand!! Bring lots of water or gatorade is very important.
GRADES: you should have received your report cards by now. Your GPA is figured on the 4th quarter not the semester. Summer school, if taken, will be used to get your GPA.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR: We look at your performance, and the effort you put into becoming a better player. Attendance to all days of try-outs is very important so we can see how serious you are in the team. We also look for players who have a lot of drive and that are teachable. Everyone earns their spot on the team even the returning players.

Good luck to all.
Coach Laura Cooper

The conditioning schedule isn't quite set in stone for the rest of the summer, but for the time being, here is the tentative schedule for the upcoming week. Until further notice, conditioning will be held at the PVHS field. Please make sure you are dressed in appropriate work out clothes and comfortable shoes. Likewise, bring water and any other things you may need (inhaler, etc.). Conditioning will be about an hour long. Adriana Avila will be orchestrating conditioning until July 27th, so any questions can also be directed to her.
